Allergy Symptoms Or a Cold?

Waking up and feeling ill leads to the question of what’s the problem – is it your allergies again or is it just a bad cold?

Just how do you tell the difference? Well here are some guidelines to look at and try out and see if they work for you.

Questions:

Did the problem come on quickly or did it creep up on you over a few days?

Is it an allergy time of year for you when you may expect seasonal allergies to be on the rise? When this is depends on where you live partially because the weather depends on how far north or south you are but also because the local trees and plants and wildflowers blossom and pollinate at different times during the year. Don’t over analyse here just a quick “yes” or “no” and move on to the next point question

Is there any itching either in your mouth, eyes or even ears?

Before reaching for the meds or even the herbs for that matter there is a simple and totally free way to reduce your symptoms and that is simply to rinse out the imitated membranes of the nose and sinuses.

And this works whether you have an allergy or a cold!

Washing the mucous membranes clear of pollen and bacteria and viruses can help reduce the burden your body is carrying and give quick relief. And because the eyes drain via the nose this may well help itchy eyes too.
